Your neighbourhood wardens
The Neighbourhood Warden team is made up of eight dedicated staff, including two experienced supervisors. Not only do the team work with the police and provide a uniformed patrol in Thamesmead, they run projects and events for all community members to enjoy.
For young residents
Our Wardens regularly visit local schools to manage clubs and projects or present educational talks. They run a Junior Warden scheme to teach youngsters more about the local area and inform them about issues of citizenship and community responsibility.
For older residents
The Wardens continue to provide the invaluable Good Neighbour Service, regularly visiting our most vulnerable residents to ensure they are safe and well and providing reassurance and company. They work with other colleagues to run events and activities especially for our older community members.
For everyone
The Wardens patrol our neighbourhoods almost every day so they really understand what is happening in your community. They are often the first to notice graffiti, incidents of anti-social behaviour and environmental problems and they act quickly to resolve any issues.
Our team work closely with local police and carry out high visibility patrols to provide a powerful deterrent to anti-social behaviour and they are always on hand to help or reassure our residents.
