Last Saturday (2nd Aug) at Thamesmead’s Southlake Centre, droves of Tavy Bridge residents took part in Gallions Housing Association’s annual fun day. There were bouncy castles for the kids, nail art, face painting, beat the goalie as well as a giant connect four. Despite the fun element, this year’s event also had a serious message at its core…recycling and the environment.

Gallions Housing Association and the Port of London Authority have teamed up to bring a life saving event to Thamesmead Town Centre. On Monday 4th August from 09:30 – 13:00, the Port of London Authority’s waterways safety trailer will be outside Iceland. It will feature lots of interactive games designed to help boost children’s knowledge about the dangers of waterways - an exercise that could potentially save lives.

Gallions Housing Association celebrated success as overall winner in two categories - Leadership and Making Partnerships Work – at this year’s London Excellence Awards. Gallions was commended for its visionary and inspirational leadership as well as for achieving fantastic business results through an exceptional partnership with Axis.
