Ian Beckett - Director of Development and Regeneration

Ian joined Gallions Housing Association in Nov 2007.  He has extensive experience in housing covering new business, development, housing management and supported housing.

Before Gallions, Ian was employed by Moat – he joined them in 1992 from Hyde Housing Association and became Director of Development in 2003.  His responsibilities included delivery of the development programme for Moat through the leadership of three regional teams operating across the south east, providing 700 affordable homes every year.

Ian began his career in local authority housing management before moving to development and has extensive experience of working with the Housing Corporation as a Development Partner. 

Ian is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and works as part of the international sub group whose aim is to share learning on housing issues from home and abroad.  He is also a member of the National Housing Federation’s London region development steering group.
