Alison Breese - Director of Operations
Alison joined Gallions Housing Association in January 2005 as Director of Operations with responsibility for environmental services, neighbourhood management and projects, allocations and lettings, service improvement, tenant participation and asset management. She has also led on the work undertaken by Professor Richard Scase on the new Vision for Thamesmead.
Prior to joining Gallions, Alison was Assistant Director of Community Services at Medway Council, a post that combined housing issues with social services. In fact Alison has spent a considerable number of years in local government, starting her senior management career with Gillingham Borough Council in 1987 as a Housing Development Officer. Three years later she joined Rochester City Council as a Strategy Officer and was later promoted to the post of Assistant City Environment Manager.
Alison is a council member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and sits on their policy board. She is on the Institution’s South East Branch Committee and represents them at national level CIH meetings.
She is also the former Chair and current company secretary of the Disabled Persons Accommodation Agency charity in Kent and a former member of the South East Regional Housing Forum and Regional Assembly Working Group on Affordable Housing. |
